OK now, you are asking: Whats the catch, how can this be, that Goof Squad charges like a few hundred for the same thing? Well, that is because they are part of a corporate machine, one that charges high prices for the same exact thing I am offering, and lets be real, for most of the calls they get on a computer that is misbehaving, or virus and spyware ridden, the answer is Rebuild. Sure, for most cases, that is the best answer, but they charge you high prices to do nothing more than reload your software, that you already paid for. For me, it is an easy, brainless thing. How can that be, and why is that? Well, let me get into my background a little: I have been working for large, Fortune 100 companies in New Jersey for the past 15 years, where I have held some responsibilities of desktop and laptop configurations, not only corporate wide, but worldwide. I have held the responsibility of creating and maintaining a standard desktop and laptop image for the corporation. Create a standard software package for each application, so that every user has the software installed the same exact way (Wise Package Studio). Extensive support for commodities market traders. Desk side support as well as phone support. Backup and restore of user data when upgrading a hard drive, and when available, recover data from a crashed hard drive. DVD authoring and video editing. Creating an image for a users desktop or laptop and creating a bootable restore dvd. Currently, I work for a small engineering company in central New Jersey, where I handle the entire IT for the company, which includes, but not limited to: Phone system, software licensing, desktop/laptop purchasing, Software installation, Server installation and support, end user support, CAD system, firewall, 2 office locations, network and phone wiring, yes, anything and everything IT, and I love it!

Why is my price so low compared to the Goof Squads?
The difference is: I do this in my spare time, I do this from my home, and I rarely make house calls, so basically, you bring your desktop or laptop to me. Why? Because I have all of the software and hardware tools right here. Now really, from a basic computer rebuild, it usually wont take me more than a couple of hours, from start to finish. Lets say you want a new, large hard drive, you go and buy the new drive, but dont want to lose the data on your old drive, well, I can back up your data, install the new drive, install all of your apps, and restore your data to a freshly built drive couple of hours, not a problem, easy stuff. Lets say you got a new drive, but want to simply transfer everything 100%, like a clone from the old drive to the new, even quicker. Really, for me, this is nothing; I do it day and night. Sure, I have a full time job, a wife and kids, but I dont like to sit idle, and, I cant stand to see people taken for a ride, and lose big money because they just dont know technology and will be taken advantage of, and I know so many people who have paid those high prices to the squads because they dont know where else to turn. You dont lose anything by sending me an e-mail, tell me your computer problem, and I can give my suggestion on the best way to tackle it. I dont charge a price to take a look and see what the problem is, and heck, if it is something quick and easy, I may not even ask for a dime, again, this is in my spare time, I dont have a fleet of cars to pay for, I dont have employees, I dont have a store front, I am just trying to help out the average person, like myself, with the skills and knowledge I have. So, no matter what your desktop/laptop problem is, I can take a look, and most likely, fix it for you for $30.00, and, usually have it ready for you within 24 hours! One thing I can say, I support what I work on. Now that doesnt mean I am getting married to you and your computer, but if I work on it, I stand behind it, and the work that I do. I have a lot of computer knowledge, and it does no good just sitting in my brain, it can do much better helping others who dont have the knowledge.
